The Texaco Country Showdown is America's largest country music talent search. Now in its 32nd year, the Showdown is designed to find promising country music talent in communities all across America, and to offer artists a platform from which to launch their professional music careers.

The Fort Mill Texaco Country Showdown, presented by WRHI and Interstate 107, will take place between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm on the Visit York County Stage. The event is free and open to the public. A live broadcast from the event will also be featured on Interstate 107 FM and online at www.FM107.com.

The Texaco Country Showdown is open to vocal and/or instrumental performers, individuals, and groups of up to seven members who have not performed on a record listed in the national record charts (Billboard, Radio and Records, or The Gavin Report) within the 18 months preceding the local competition. To ensure fairness, a uniform judging system will be used at all levels of competition.

There is a $20 entry fee per act (cash or money order only). First-time contestants must also submit a demo recording as part of their registration packet. Entry forms will be accepted until April 26, 2013. Entry forms and instructions may be downloaded below.
